We're a local used-car dealership. We take privacy seriously because we'd want the same when we shop. Here's exactly what happens with information you share on this site, in plain English.

What we collect

• What you tell us — your name, phone number, email, and message when you fill out a form, send a chat message, or ask for a Sell-Your-Car offer. We collect what you type, nothing is pulled from anywhere else.
• Which car page you came from — so a sales rep knows which vehicle you're asking about.
• How you found us and what you looked at — the site that sent you here (Google, Facebook, Cars.com, an ad, a search), the pages you viewed, and when you tapped "Call" (the tap, not the call). We use this to know which ads work and which cars people look at. If you later send us an inquiry, that visit history is attached to it so the rep who answers sees what you were interested in.
• Your IP address and browser type — recorded with each submission. We use it to prevent spam (we block IPs that repeatedly send junk) and to fix bugs.

Cookies and analytics

• Google Analytics — standard page-view analytics. Google receives the usual analytics data about your visit (pages, device, rough location) under Google's privacy policy; it sets the _ga cookies (up to two years).
• Our own visitor id — a random id in a cookie (lmg_vid, one year) and a second cookie that remembers how you found us (lmg_src, 30 days). They hold no name, phone or email. They let us link your visits to your inquiry if you send one.
• Live chat — a session id that keeps your chat conversation running while you browse; it goes when you close the tab.

Browser settings that block or clear cookies work normally on this site; forms and calls work without them.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your information to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
• We don't buy data about you from anyone. We only know what you did on our site and what you told us.
• We don't use Facebook Pixel or other third-party ad trackers on this site; Google Analytics is the only outside analytics service.

YouTube videos

Some car pages have a walkaround video embedded from YouTube. We use the privacy-enhanced embed (youtube-nocookie.com), which doesn't load YouTube cookies until you actually press play. If you play a video, you're then in a normal YouTube session with their rules — see Google's privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Customer inquiries, chat transcripts and the visit history attached to them are kept while we're working on your request, then archived for our records (typically up to two years) to handle warranty follow-ups and service questions. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will — see below.

Your rights

You can email or call us anytime and ask:

• What information we have about you
• To correct anything that's wrong
• To delete it entirely (we keep the bare minimum required by state law and your purchase paperwork, if any)
• To stop us from contacting you again

For California residents, the same rights are guaranteed under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We don't sell your personal information, so there's no "Do Not Sell" link required — but you can confirm that with us directly.

Text messages (SMS)

If you text our business number, or tick the optional "I agree to receive text messages" box on a vehicle inquiry form, we may reply by text about the vehicle you asked about. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to texting is never a condition of purchase. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.

Security

Submitted information is sent over HTTPS and stored on our own server and in the customer-relationship system our sales team uses to reply (GoHighLevel). Access is limited to CarVibe staff who need it to handle your inquiry.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date at the top.
